I keep having this bad dream. It’s the day before the playoffs begin and the Rangers first round opponent makes four acquisitions at the last minute: Kevin Millwood, Bartolo Colon, Freddie Garcia and, for good measure, Jamie Moyer. They end up sweeping the Rangers, only giving up three runs in four games to the best offense in baseball.

Shut out by Bartolo Colon with nary an extra base hit to be had? No wonder a 4 1/2 game lead doesn’t feel very comforting these days.
